A rare French antique opaline glass perfume bottle. Dated to early-mid 19th century, believed to be made by Baccarat. The hand-blown bottle made of white opaline glass with gold accent and serpentine rigaree in green opaline. The delightful stopper made in form of tulip with beautifully cut edge. The stopper and bottle marked with hand written numbers, which is characteristic for French glass product of that period, the same numbers tell that the stopper is original to the bottle. Many different pieces and in different shades of colors were produced in opaline glass and most all was not branded or signed.
The bottle stand 8 1/2" high with stopper in.
It is in excellent condition, considering the age, there are no chips, cracks or repair. Apart from light wear to the gilding the bottle is in very good condition.
