An exceptional early Gripoix Melon Bead necklace/bracelet combination.
We believe this to be an early Maison Gripoix piece for Chanel dating to the 1930's.
The cerise and emerald green melon gripoix beads are all individual and unique shapes, intersperced with glass pearls and cerise gripoix glass beads.
The silver beehive rondelle beads are set with clear round and square cut pastes. These beehive beads are silver mounted and are of an early and exceptional construction.
All of the beads are individually wired (not strung).
There are two beehive beads that serve as clasps. This enables the cerise and emerald rows to be worn as individual bracelets or combined to wear as a necklace.
Length of 17 inch as a necklace and each bracelet 8.3/4 inch and 8.1/4 inch. The green bracelet has one beehive rondelle bead missing.
In excellent vintage condition , magnificent colours and a joy to wear.
