This imposing brooch is a rare example of the work of Chanel using paste stones in a silver setting. Such designs are seldom seen.
The brooch was reputedly worn by the actress Candice Bergen in the early 1970's at a Chanel Runway Event (attributed by the original French owner). Candice Bergen was the face of Chanel No 5 in the late 1960's early 1970's.
The brooch is in superb condition.
