This women's Concord quart wrist watch is in 18-karat yellow gold, as stamped on the clasp and both outside and inside case back. The case is square with cut corners, measuring 19 x 19 mm., and is wonderfully thin at 4 mm. Two rows of single cut diamonds, eighty-eight in all, are bead-set around the dial, which has twelve more such diamonds serving as hour markers, for a total diamond weight of about 0.55 carat. The satin-finished gold-tone dial shows some peeling of the enamel at the edge, between 1 and 2 o'clock, but is not obvious to the eye. The glass crystal has a small scratch between 8 and 9 o'clock. The 7-jewel quartz movement is ETA calibre 979001 and is in good running order, as determined by observation as well as by inspection by the watchmaker I work with. The four-row braided mesh bracelet tapers slightly from 11.9 to 10.3 mm. and is in excellent condition, as is the fold-over clasp, which can be adjusted to three different positions. The total item weighs 37.9 dwt. Concord began in 1908 in Switzerland, working with fine jewelers in overseas markets, and rose again as a prestige brand in the 1970s and 1980s.
