A simple diamond wedding band in 14-karat (as stamped) gold. The six round brilliant cut diamonds weigh about 0.36 carat total and have approximate quality of G-H color and VS2 clarity (one end diamond has a minor chip at the girdle and slightly down the pavilion which doesn't interfere with its brilliance). The cut quality is good. The yellow gold half-round shank measures 2 mm. wide at the top of the shoulders, to 1.2 mm. at the base, where it will need a new quarter-shank but is wearable now. The white gold fishtail gallery sets the stones in four prongs, with additional pairs of shared prongs between., giving both strength and beauty. The outside prongs are beginning to need re-tipping but are safe presently. Finger size 5 1/4. This piece shows patina, which can be polished out if the owner desires. Inside is stamped "FEATURE RING", a better-quality New York City manufacturer founded in the 1930s. In overall good vintage condition, the ring has a substantial look.
