A simple, beautifully sculpted wishbone pin, measuring 1 1/2" long x 3/4" wide at the broadest point, and varying from about 2-4.5 mm. deep.
Of lost-wax cast manufacture, it is in 14-karat yellow gold, as stamped. It is also trademarked "SORET", for Somers Ernst, a company in New York City that began in 1915; after several name and ownership changes, it is no longer in business, as far as I can tell. This piece dates from about 1960, based on an older style of catch. The total item weighs 2.6 pennyweights and is in excellent condition.
This pin can be worn as is, or it could easily be converted into a pendant. There is another pin just like it with a small diamond elsewhere in my shop, so two people holding the same wish could each wear one in either manner. Or one person could wear both.
