A simple, beautifully sculpted wishbone pin, measuring 1 1/2" long x almost 3/4" wide at the broadest point, and varying from about 2.5-4 mm. deep. At the end of one fork is a round brilliant cut diamond weighing about 0.12 carat, having G-H color and SI2 clarity.
Of lost-wax cast manufacture, it is in 14-karat yellow gold, as stamped. It is also trademarked "SORET", for Somers Ernst, a company in New York City that began in 1915; after several name and ownership changes, it is no longer in business, as far as I can tell. This piece dates from about 1970. The total item weighs 2.8 pennyweights and is in excellent condition.
This pin could easily be converted into a pendant. There is another pin just like it (except for the diamond) elsewhere in my shop, so two people holding the same wish could each wear one in either manner.
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: Yellow gold, Size: 1 1/2 x 3/4"
