A simple, beautifully sculpted wishbone pin, measuring 1 1/2" long x almost 3/4" wide at the broadest point, and varying from about 2.5-4 mm. deep. At the end of one fork is a round brilliant cut diamond weighing about 0.12 carat, having G-H color and SI2 clarity.
Of lost-wax cast manufacture, it is in 14-karat yellow gold, as stamped. It is also trademarked "SORET", for Somers Ernst, a company in New York City that began in 1915; after several name and ownership changes, it is no longer in business, as far as I can tell. This piece dates from about 1970. The total item weighs 2.8 pennyweights and is in excellent condition.
This pin can be worn as is, or it could easily be converted into a pendant. There is another pin just like it (except for the diamond) elsewhere in my shop, so two people holding the same wish could each wear one in either manner.
