This gorgeous large-scale charm or pendant, measuring 35 mm. long x 23 mm. (excluding the jump rings), has an oval profile and is adorned all around with six elongated blue feldspars each measuring about 16 x 6.6 mm.
The feldspars (which also give us moonstone) weigh about 14 carats total and have green-blue color of medium tone. They are mounted in multi-claw settings, within bold bright finished frames, that create an exotic feel that is heightened by the alternating bright- and stone-finished pie-shaped segments on each end.
The charm is 14-karat yellow gold, as tested, and is stamped "14" and "N.", as well as "14k" on the larger of the two jump rings. The total item weighs 9.1 pennyweights (14.2 grams). It is in very good condition, with a warm patina on the bright finished surfaces.
Items like this one predominated in the 1950s until the mid 1970s, when the price of gold was much lower and wearers competed to see whose bracelet could assume the most monumental proportions. If you love egg shapes, here is one that may truly qualify as unique!
