This handsome Victorian example’s blade is well-made and solidly attached to the hand-carved wooden handle. It also is engraved with the words, “Bread Knife,” in fancy script. The letters for “Bread” are deeply carved in the handle, which is elliptically shaped for a better, more comfortable grip. The end of the handle was decoratively carved. The blade appears to have been sharpened occasionally so that it will still function as it should.
It is in excellent condition.
It measures 12-1/2 inches long. The blade is 1-1/2 inches wide.
