In this pretty portrait of a young lady, the artist added pink and white roses to further enhance it. The girl’s features are finely painted, with great attention to detail. She is in a pink dress with a white, frilly collar. Her brown hair is long and ends in curls, as was the fashion of the day.
The hand-painted oval plaque was placed into a metal mount that serves as a narrow frame. Attached metal legs allow it to stand like an easel. There also is a metal ring, presumably for hanging.
The condition of the plaque is generally excellent for its age and type. There is a small surface scratch on the upper left side. The mount is in excellent condition.
It measures 1-7/8 inches high by 1-1/2 inches wide.
