This beautiful wood sheep covered in dark brown lambswool is quite unusual. It has been dated to the early 1900’s so not quite antique but still an early piece. It is a folk art piece and is wonderful displayed with antique dolls. He is heavy and solid with wooden hooves and a hide covered face. His eyes are painted metal but the paint has chipped. The silk ribbon around his neck is frayed. He stands 13 1/2” tall to the top of his head and is about 16” long. The leather of his one ear has cracked a bit, and his face has some wear. Otherwise nice condition.
The dolls modeling with him are not included but are both available in my shop.
