24” Simon Halbig Dep 1009 Antique German Bisque Doll

This is a beautiful as found 24 inch Simon Halbig Dep 1009, made for the French market. She is dressed in an elaborate couture ensemble that is seamstress made, and fits her very nicely. She has a very sweet, soft facial expression with brilliant blue sleep eyes and pretty bisque without damage or repair. She is on her fully jointed original body that has some nicely done repairs around the neck and arm areas, please see the photos.

Her elaborate two-piece dress and hat ensemble are very nicely made. The dress closes in the back with hooks and loops and the sleeves of the dress close with hooks and thread loops as well. The bonnet is very fancy with ruffled trim and ostrich plumes. She wears a long brown human hair wig, pretty matching seamstress made under clothes, antique shoes, and vintage socks.

The head does not have any cracks or repairs, but please note that there is excess plaster inside from when someone reset the eye rocker. The eyes sleep nicely. Also to note, the shoes are antique and display nicely, but one of them has a somewhat messy repair.

She is incised S 12 H H 1009 DEP on the back of the head. She has old glue and wig residue on her forehead and around the rim, but no damage to the bisque. She has pierced ears with a tiny flake at each hole.
