This item is a "Rampant Frosted Lion" covered compote from Gillinder & Sons circa the mid 1870's. The piece is 12 1/2" tall with the cover on, 8" across the twisted rim on the lid, with a foot diameter of 5". The finial depicts a lion standing on a tree and the stem has three lion faces as decoration. The rim of the cover and the foot are twisted and there is a fractured air bubbles in the foot from manufacture. The compote has no wear or damage and the glass where not frosted is clear. It is not pink it is white frosted
