This is lovely example of Spanish porcelain from the same area that produces Lladro but this piece is by Rex. It is a hand made women in a muted blue dress that ties at the neck in a bow. She is sitting in an upholstered chair with a cute girl sitting at her feet. The women is reading intently to the young girl. The girl's blonde hair is held back with a large pink bow, she is wearing a white sailor top with a blue collar and matching blue pleated skirt. The figurine stands 10" tall and has a base diameter of 7" at its longest point. This figurine is in pristine vintage condition, fully hallmarked on the bottom and exquisite. She has the number "76" etched in to her under base. Not sure of the age but suspect it is from the early 1960. Purchased more than 30 years ago from an estate. I have no idea how long the previous owner had owned the piece.
