This is a lovely portrait pin measuring 2.25 inches by 1.75 inches. The frame is very fancy and has a safety pin and chain attached. When looking at the back it is a possibility that at one time there was a glass enclosure. Someone has carved some letters in the back and, of course, there is the Victorian C ring and extra long pin. I believe this would be called the Tyrolean boy based on the clothes. Wasn’t he dressed well as the played his flute?
The pin is in very good antique condition but under magnification you can see some wear. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
