About 30 years ago while doing a show in San Francisco, a gemologist was there so I had her look at this ring and she told me the lovely stone is a blue spinel. In some lights this ring looks just blue but in others it seems to be more of a blue green. It is set in a wonderful 14k white gold mounting with engraving down both sides of the shank. My photos do not show that the setting is white gold but it certainly is. The top of the ring measures 11 mm by 9 mm and the ring is a size 7.75.
I would guess this lovely, well made ring is from the 30s or 40s. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
