This belt buckle is fully hallmarked for sterling silver and was made in Birmingham, England in the late 1800s. It is good sized and very sturdy weighing 46.9 grams. The design is quite lovely and when connected measures 3 7/8 inches across and about 2 inches at the widest.
Some years ago another dealer friend of mine thought that this lovely antique buckle could be repurposed into two pendants. However, I kept it original and think it is just smashing the way it is. Please feel free to contact me with any questions
