My mother used to refer to charms like these as those Italian charms. I’m not sure if that is correct or not but this a beautiful charm that definitely makes a statement. The charm weighs a hefty 9.5 grams of 14k – marked and tested and measures one inch long (not including the bale). It is really hard to measure the width but it is almost 3/4 inch wide at the widest. I’m pretty sure those beautiful red stones, meant to look like rubies, must be synthetic.
This charm would make an wonderful addition to your bracelet or certainly could be worn as a pendant. Please take a look at the 18k gold earrings I have listed (from the same estate) that may have been worn with the charm.
