In this 18th Century hand colored engraving, we can see the tools and techniques used by 18th Century tradesmen to roof a building. This print would be a great gift for anyone in the building trades!

The print is made from a copper plate engraving from the publication of Dennis Diderot's landmark Encyclopedie in France. Diderot (1713-84) began the work on the compendium in 1745.

The print is matted in acid-free materials and installed in a c.2000 decorative gold frame. The print and matting are in good condition, and the frame may have some minor dings.

Print size is 9.5" x 7", and the frame size is 15"x12". Other, similarly framed building & technology prints in my shop are 4152AUC1. 4152AUC3. 4152AUC4, 4152AUC5 and 4152AUC6
