This Indiana Impressionist oil painting shows a scene from Nashville. Signed by the artist Bernard Nordberg, the painting dates from around 1960. The painting was most likely painted on location. It has the loose, fast brushwork indicative of plein air painters. It is on a Grumbacher canvas board, and the location is written on the back of the board. The back also has paint, arranged along the edge like a palette. It add interest to the piece, and allows us to see the colors which the artist used. The canvas board is 16""x20"", and it is in a new gold-metal leafed wooden frame measuring 19 1/2"" x 23 1/2"" The painting is in good, clean condition.
