This oil painting was created around 1850, and is signed with a monogram which appears to be ""CCC"". It is a true American primitive scene of an old bridge spanning a stream. There are even a few water lilies in the foreground! The canvas is from a Boston shop, Frost & Adams, and the old label is there on the back of the stretcher. (See photo) Canvas size is 10"" x 16"", Frame= 12.5"" x 18.5"" The painting was gently cleaned and coated with an archival non-yellowing varnish. It is presented in a newly made custom gold-metal leafed frame.
