In 1927, Reuben Haley created designs for both Muncie Pottery and Consolidated Glass recalling early Spanish tableware. The Consolidated Glass pieces were known as Catalonian, and the Muncie Pottery ceramic pieces were designated as the Spanish Line. There are only 6 known shapes produced by Muncie Pottery in the Spanish Line.
Here we have an excellent example of the Spanish line, a green over rose console bowl set. The green matt glaze over the rose accentuates the handles on all the pieces within the set. The bowl is 10 1/4 inches long and is in outstanding condition. A set that would excite any collector of American art pottery. Add this to your collection before someone else does!!
Exceptional set in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze, no repairs. FREE from crazing. A couple of glaze misses on candle holders. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
Authentic and appropriately signed Muncie. All pictures are original and un-edited.
