Andre Delatte Nancy France Cameo Vase- 1920's.
After working for Mueller Freres for 2 years, Andre Delatte opened his own glassworks in 1921. At it's peak, he employed 60 workers at his plant. His glassworks closed in 1933.
This particular piece is an excellent example of 1920's French cameo glass. The beautiful yellow/green background frames a deep chocolate brown design displaying a lake scene with trees and sailboats. Scenic cameo vases are among the most desirable and difficult to find, and this one is executed superbly. Correctly signed "A Delatte Nancy" in cameo relief, it would be a great addition to any cameo glass collection. Guaranteed original and unrestored, Delatte pieces are rarely available for sale in a world filled with Galle, D'Argental, and Daum.
