Moorcroft Pottery Cobalt Hibiscus vase, 14.5" exhibition piece. This amazing Moorcroft Pottery cobalt hibiscus vase from around 1950 is in great original condition. Standing an impressive 14 1/2 inches tall, this piece bears the full signature (not facimille) of Walter Moorcroft on the base indicating it to be an exhibition piece and not mass-produced for sale. There is some nearly invisible scattered thin light crazing which does not detract from the beauty of the piece. There are no chips, no cracks, and no restoration. An excellent above-average piece that displays well, and would be a perfect addition to any collection. This is likely a one-of-a-kind piece creating the single largest vase in the popular hibiscus pattern. Truly a crown jewel for the collector of the pattern, especially with the brilliant cobalt background.
Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze and free of repairs. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. Please review the high resolution pictures because they are part of the description. The pictures are taken with a macro lens which show exceptional detail. Please review each picture carefully and contact with any questions.
