The Roseville Company introduced this line in 1949. Although the decoration on this line has been described as a Japanese bonsai tree, Ming was one of the Chinese dynasties. Body colors are glazed in a glossy Celestial Blue, Jade Green and Temple White. The pieces have gnarled branches as handles. Marks are usually raised. This Ming Tree ash receiver/ ashtray is a pleasing high gloss Temple White. Great ming tree design on the interior of this piece. Use as a catch all. Perfect desk accessory to hold paper clips and the like. Displays well from all angles.
Exceptional ashtray in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Very minor glaze lines. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. I cannot detect any repairs or modifications. Please review the high resolution pictures because they are part of the description. The pictures are taken with a macro lens which show exceptional detail. Please review each picture carefully and contact with any questions.
Authentic and appropriately signed Roseville with shape number on the bottom.
All picture are original and un-edited.
