Roseville Pottery company produced the Wincraft line in 1948 and was named after the then-company president Robert Windisch. This line does not have a consistent trait among the pieces except for the sheen. The design elements like the flowers are borrowed from their other lines including the colors. The Wincraft line is in a variety of colors including yellow, blue, green and brown to name a few.

This vase was purchased from the estate of Randy Monsen who not only collected Roseville pottery but also wrote a couple of books that are very well known. Included in this auction were many rare experimental and trial glaze pieces. This Wincraft vase was just one of many trial glaze pieces that were available that day. All trail glaze pieces are hand marked on the bottom in crayon, pen or black slip. This vase is numeral hand marked with two rows of numbers: 5P-3-720 and 62-157-H33. The inventory sticker on the bottom is from Mr. Monsen. I did not remove this to preserve the provenance and pottery history. This can be removed by the next owner if you so chose.

Beautiful example of a Wincraft vase in the pine cone motif. Roseville never made any Wincraft pieces in this glaze except for this one. This trail glaze is a perfect mottled pink which looks very similar to the Tuscany pink glaze. The needles are offset in a perfect complimentary pale green. The glaze on this one is unusual and unique. Displays well from all angles. This really is a one of a kind Roseville vase. What a wonderful vase!

This item was inspected with a Mil-spec UVA (365NM) and UVC (254NM) high intensity ultra-violet light and no evidence of repair or modification was detected. Exceptional vase in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Excellent original condition. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops. Dimensions are below.
