Roseville Pottery produced the Dahlrose line in the 1902's. The line is very recognizable because it features a ring of large white daisy-like blossoms that sounds the top of the entire piece on a textured body that ranges from muddy green to terra cotta brown. Pieces are unmarked or have paper labels. All handles are straight and pointy.

This vase was purchased from the estate of Randy Monsen who not only collected Roseville pottery but also wrote a couple of books that are very well known. Included in this auction were many rare experimental and trial glaze pieces. This Dalhrose vase was just one of many trial glaze pieces that were available that day. All trail glaze pieces are hand marked on the bottom in crayon, pen or black slip. This vase is numeral hand marked 54-828 in blue underglaze. The inventory sticker on the bottom is from Mr. Monsen as well as the pencil inventory annotation. I did not remove these to preserve the provenance and pottery history. This can be removed by the next owner if you so chose.

Pleasing glaze over a well defined mold. The glaze is a warm tawny beige withe complimentary raisin brown among green foliage. Roseville trial glaze pieces are exceptionally rare and difficult to find. Displays well from all angles. This is your chance to own a piece of Roseville pottery history.

This item was inspected with a Mil-spec UVA (365NM) and UVC (254NM) high intensity ultra-violet light and no evidence of repair or modification was detected. Exceptional vase in that has no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. Repair to foot rim and corner of one handle. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops. Dimensions are below.
