This is a lovely rare Austrian Amphora Imperial vase made between 1890-1910. It has iridescent blue conical body 11 1/2" high . Protruding are golden branches and nuts. There are several overlaid organic leaves of rich purples, magenta and cobalt blue all trimmed in gold. The vase is decorated on both sides, heavier on the front and lighter on the back. It is fully signed and has several small nips and imperfections that are very minor in a piece like this considering usage and age. I do not expect perfection in amphora and have found that people who collect it care much more about artistry than perfection. I do think some small element is missing at the center of the nut cluster.
