This is an unsigned gilt metal box made of embossed roses. The top of the box features triangle shaped purple rhinestones and raised leaves. The box is probably they were both famous for the fancy dressing table accessories that ranged from picture frames to boxes and mirrors. I have several of the frames as well. This box is lined with lavender velvet and is in two parts. It is darkened because it has lived by the ocean for many years. The top is separate from the bottom rather than on a hinge as it was made. The box is a large oval in shape and measures 10" long, 7" wide and stands 2 1/2" high. Other than the patina being dark and the broken hinge it is beautiful.
