This is a most unusual silver plate picture frame made by James W. Tufts of Boston, Mass. The item number on the back of the frame is 2657. It has an easel back and it is decorate on both the front where the picture shows and the back which can be seen between the easel. The back is an amazing embossed scenic of mermaids and flowers. Even the easel is ornate. The top front of the frame has gargoyles and scrolling roses. The frame measures 9 1/2" tall by 5 1/2" high. It is in great condition.
