This is a beautiful flower pin made of gold color petals that are Florentine finish. It was made by Swoboda in the 1960's using poor quality gem stones set in faux gold jewelry as samples for their finished goods. The finished product was sold to department stores in real gold with higher quality gems. The designer was Nate Waxman. This piece was sold to me by the designer from his own collection after the company ceased to exist.
The pin measures 2 1/2" in diameter. The bottom level of the leaves are set with rubies. The center pistils are also tipped with rubies. Nestled in the
center of the pin is a simulated pearl. The pin is in very good condition missing only one ruby.
