This is a first edition of Tarzan the Terrible by Edgar Rice Burroughs published by Grosset & Dunlap Publishers, New York. The copyright 1921, by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Copyrighted in Great Britain. This issue was printed in the United States of America. It is a hardbound red textured board heavy paper without the dust cover. The spine is good and the binding is tight. The pages are yellowed and there is wear to all of the corners and sides of the spine. It is a well read book. The illustration is by J. Allen St. John and there is a large glossary in the back of the book where there is one small tear. It is still worthy of a good library collection. The folk lore of Edgar Rice Burroughs still lives in Tarzana, California where I had my first store. here is currently a working nursery on his land. There are no pictures in this volume or publication.

The retailer in me wants more dimension, color, texture and artistry. Beauty or whimsey are a must.
