This is an original The Children's Year Calendar from the year 1901. It is illustrated by Frances Brundage and features five of the six segments with the faces of beautiful children in period clothing. The segment from November December is missing. Brundage was a prolific illustrator from the period and did magazine covers as well as advertisements and other commercial art. The calendar was custom framed in an oak frame in the early 1990's as a gift for my Grandmother who was born in 1901. The framer was Venetia Thompson of Principally Pictures. She used vintage fabrics and ribbons to complete the look of the framed piece. It is in very good condition and measures 15 1/2" wide by 12 1/2" high framed.
