This is a ring from the estate of Jenna McMahon; she was an early television writer of the Carol Burnett Show, Mama's Family, and others. She won three comedy writing Emmys in he long career. Later in life she was a collector of all things beautiful and was an antique fine jewelry dealer in Beverly Hills. As her friend and fellow dealer I am selling her precious items to benefit her heirs and favorite charities. This is a size 6, 14k yellow gold retro ring that contains a large cabochon shaped blue star sapphire. The sapphire is pale and radiates a slightly grey and violet saturation with blue overtones. It weighs 13.95 carats. The gold ring has swirling sides in front and houses six diamonds three on each side. They weigh a total of 0.50 and are VS1 in clarity and G-H in color. The ring is in excellent condition and was appraised for her insurance at $15,985 in 2006. We can not locate the appraisal but I am writing this from her inventory books. This ring sat on her desk for many years as she loved to gaze into it. I was one of her favorites. I
