This is a 14k yellow gold (tested) watch fobs and chain that belonged to California Sociologist Robert F. Heizer. He was an expert scholar and teacher of Sociology of California Indian Cultures. He lived from 1915-1979 and received his Masters in 1941 at UCLA as noted on the fob. Heizer authored many books on the subject of the demise of Indian culture and about the specifics of many tribes such as the California Chumash. The chain is heavy 33.30 grams which includes the swivel weighted bar and the watch key. All together the length is 15 1/2". It can be worn as a necklace on a smaller woman but it is best used as a watch chain. The condition of all parts of this item are very good.
I don't know how this chain came into Jenna's collection but I decided to look him up when I saw his name on the fob.
It's original price tag just listed it as 14k yellow watch chain.
I am selling the contents of the Jenna McMahon, a noted Beverly Hills collector and jeweler to the stars. The proceeds benefit the heirs and her favorite charities.
