This is a delightful landscape painting by California artist George Horsburgh. It is a typical Spring day in the Sonoma mountains and valleys. Northern California painted by a Laguna Beach artist. Two places in the state that are lush and warm with rich green landscapes and rolling hills. The colors are Calm and richly bright. Nice greens, blues and the touch of the orange poppies and blue lupines placing the time as Spring. The painting measures 22" high by 28" long. It is signed in the right lower corner. The framing is not great probably added in the 1950's. It's olive green with a gold highlight and cloth matt. It measures 22 1/2" wide by 27 1/2" high. There is a small paper blurb on the back noting that it was shown in Laguna Beach and that it is called the Quiet Valley. I purchased the painting from a fellow dealer who's family owned the painting for many years. It was a gift to his family by the artist. The painting is in excellent condition.
