This is a beautiful object from the estate of Jenna McMahon. It is a late Victorian bronze champlevé enamel picture frame with a self standing easel back. The frame measures 9 1/4" high by 5" wide. The portrait opening has a gold filet and measures 4" high by 2 3/4" wide. I believe it is a commemorative piece because of the long inscription on the back which dates the presentation to 1926. You can read the inscription in my photos. The interior of the frame is lined with cream colored fabric. The frame is finished with a border of French Champlevé enamel with the colors dark blue. robin's egg blue, gold , rust and black. There is a spot at the bottom of the frame where the glass has a flack inside. This is an elegant decorative accessory perfect for the piano, or mantle. The haze on the picture is were the original price tag was removed. I will clean it up before delivery. There are several darkened spots on the sides and back of the frame has patina. Two screw out of eight screws are missing on the back. Jenna's original price tag reads $695. I am selling it at her cost. For those who don't follow us, Jenna was a fine arts and jewelry dealer in Los Angeles. As her friend I am disbursing her estate to benefit her heirs and charities.
