This beautiful painting features a high snow covered mountain background and a low valley Wyoming landscape painted by well known and heavily listed Rafael Lillywhite. The soft landscape dwarfs a tiny man on a horse halfway down the winding trail. The foreground shows a wooded late early fall afternoon landscape with green fir trees and birch trees with yellow leaves. The painting is framed in a soft gold arts and crafts style picture frame that measures 20" wide by 24" high. The painting is oil on board and it measures 20 1/2 high by 16 1/2" wide.
The painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
This is one of those paintings than sooths the soul. I have lived with it for the past six months and I have to keep telling myself that I am a dealer and I can't keep anything in order to let it go.
May it go to a loving home.
