Offered for sale is this huge early 19th Century 10ct gold split ring, used for seals and fobs.
It is unmarked but has been electronically tested for 10 ct gold and weighs 6.3 grams. All these gold split rings could have a metal core inside for strength but it is impossible to tell unless cut completely through.
This is big and measures 27 mm outer edge diameter and 22 mm internal diameter. It is in super condition and still has a firm hold, hence you would need a sharp implement to open it and it closes with a satisfying snap.
This gorgeous split ring will arrive in a quality brand new gift box.
