This great brooch is hallmarked Birmingham 9ct gold and dates to 1900.
It is made by Albert Jackson of Albion Street, Birmingham.
The brooch is in very good condition and the pin is strong.
The brooch measures 4.2cm or just under 1 3/4 inches across
and weighs 2.4g.
This type of brooch was given to sweethearts, mothers and sisters
when the men went to war or even to live away to work.
