I have for sale a fabulous painting of a very fine Morgan horse Quakers Acre Treble. This is painted by English sporting and equestrian artist Elizabeth Sharp The size of the painting which is on board is 30 inches by 20 inches with a 2 1/2 inch deep wooden frame. The painting is genuine, a total one off, not a copy and is a great piece of Equestrian art in great condition.
Elizabeth Sharp trained in Fine Art at the English Leicester College of Art and Technology in the 1960's when modern art was all the rage, but being brought up in rural Lincolnshire England where she still lives, her artistic interests have always been more with the country pursuits and animals around her, and though she paints all subjects, animals remain her favourite. She has been a full member of the Society of Equestrian Artists for many years, and has served on the Executive Committee of that society for several of these. She is also a full member of the Society of Women Artists and exhibits regularly in London with both groups, as well as in other mixed exhibitions around the country. Elizabeth works mostly on commission for clients from all over the world; usually in Acrylics and Oils, and occasionally pastels, and she also produces sculptures, and works on Bone China and Porcelain.
Quaker Acre Treble was a very famous and prolific Morgan horse. Treble was owned by Carol Hudson of Ocala, Florida and was the foundation stallion for her own Morgan Farm, which she named after him - Treble's Morgan Manor. He was a well known stallion in the U.S. and descended from the best bloodlines. He was shown extensively in the S. Eastern states in the 1960' and 70's - winning a number of national titles, but sadly he died from liver disease well before his time, though his offspring went on to found many important lines of their own. The painting will be shipped free via FedEx on an express service.
