What is a Ruby Lane Spotlight Sale and How Do I Add Items to It?
A Ruby Lane 25% Off Spotlight Sale is a special promotional event that highlights specific items from your shop, a particular category, or a themed collection. During these sales, your selected items are showcased across Ruby Lane’s newsletters, social media channels, online ads, and even in print publications. The goal is to boost visibility and attract more buyers during the sale period, which varies depending on the event.

- Automatic Price Reversion: Once the sale ends, the items will automatically revert to their original prices.
Important Restrictions:
- No Price Increases: Do not increase item prices using the Modify Items or Power Update tools before or during the sale.
- Finalizing Your Selection: 24 hours before the sale starts and throughout the sale:
- You cannot unselect items from the sale.
- You can only reduce the sale price further if needed.
- Limited Discounts: During the sale, the "Make Offer" and "Special Buyer Discounts" features are temporarily disabled for items in the event.
- Ongoing Additions: You can continue adding items to the Spotlight Sale even after it has started.
Additional Tips:
- Tax-Exempt Buyers: If you or your regular customers qualify to purchase items without paying sales tax, now is a great time to get the Tax Exempt/Reseller Certificate verified by Ruby Lane. We recommend doing this as soon as possible for a faster checkout during the sale.
Ethics and Compliance:
Shoppers are savvy and can easily track price changes through wish lists or search engines like Google. Avoid raising prices shortly before the sale just to offer a "discount." Ensure that all discounts are genuine and comply with Federal, State, and Local laws regarding trade practices and consumer protection.
