How do I pay for my purchase?

To pay using your PayPal Account

  1. At checkout, select PayPal (shown with Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover options).
  2. Click the red 'Place Your Order' button.
  3. On the Thank You page that follows, click the yellow PayPal button.
    or
    Click the 'PayPal' button at the top of the Order, which can be found by clicking My Account > Orders > Open Orders.
  4. On the PayPal popup, sign in to your PayPal account to complete the payment.
    or
  5. Click the Pay now by PayPal link found on your Order confirmation email.

PayPal also allows you to use your Venmo balance as a payment method.

Note:
If you receive an error like the one below, your PayPal and Ruby Lane shipping addresses do not match. The error is received from PayPal, not Ruby Lane. Changing your shipping address within your PayPal account should correct the error for future purchases.  Contact Ruby Lane Customer Support using Help at the bottom of any site page, for further assistance. 

PayPal's validation has failed:

city: Value is invalid
state: Value is invalid
zip: Value is invalid

To use your Debit or Credit Card without a PayPal Account

  1. At checkout, select PayPal.
  2. Click the red 'Place Your Order' button.
  3. On the Thank You page that follows, click the dark 'Debit or Credit Card' button.
    or
    Click the 'PayPal' button on the Order, which can be found by clicking My Account > Orders > Open Orders.
  4. On the next page, click the dark 'Debit or Credit Card' button.
  5. On the PayPal popup, fill in your credit card payment details and click 'Pay Now'.

PayPal also allows you to make purchases with your Venmo Debit Card or Venmo Credit Card.  

Notes:

  • If the PayPal button does not appear, it's likely the shop owner needs to add shipping, insurance or both to the order. Once all costs are added, the order will display the PayPal payment button.
  • Successful PayPal payments will automatically be recorded on the Order History and can be seen by both the buyer and the shop owner.


To pay using Money Order or Check

Shops that accept payment by Check or Money order typically note instructions in their individual Terms of Sale, which are included on the order confirmation email you received from Ruby Lane.   
Additional information can also be obtained from the shop by using Email Shop on the Order or any of that shops pages.
