Our Service Pledge
We can ship to non-United States countries at the Priority Mail insured rate. Let us know if you would like a quote, and we can then open that listing for a non-U.S. sale. To protect the buyer, the shipping address must be the same as the billing address on your credit card. We do not ship to third party shippers. Books can also be sent via Priority Mail, please ask for a revised invoice before completing your payment.
We do require payment within 2 hours on any Red Tag Sale item, or the item will be relisted. No layaways on Red Tag Sale items please.
We guarantee the authenticity of all our antique and vintage items. Please just keep in mind that most antique items are old and may have customary handling wear or small flaws that are unique and charming characteristics of any individual item. It's wise to examine the photographs of each listing carefully, and to ask for more photographs if you need them. We always pack with extreme care, ultimately ensuring your package arrives safely.

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy
All parcels $200 or more require signature confirmation. We can open our auctions to non-U.S. locations, shipping is Priority Mail insured only. In the case of a broken item by the shipping vendor, we would ask that you send photos so we can process a claim. Do not throw any any packaging materials, nor return the item, as it invalidates the claim. We will reimburse you for the broken item once the claim has been paid. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for an online claim settlement by the carrier. Non-US shipping is available in most cases via Priority Mail International, please ask for a quote.
Payments are due within 2 days of purchase, or the item will be relisted. We accept all bank cards through Paypal, as well as USPS money orders. FYI--Paypal does allow you to check out as a "guest" even though you may not have a Paypal account. We will combine items to lessen postage when we can, and will refund back the overage paid via the original payment venue. We charge a 15% restocking fee on all returned items, and do not refund return postage nor processing fees. An additional ready-for-shipment fee for packing labor and boxes is applicable if the order is cancelled after payment, and before the ready-for-shipment packed item is shipped. Shipped items must be mailed back within three working days of the item received. As with all items sold, returns can only be accepted if the item is returned in the same condition as it was when shipped to the buyer. It must be in the as-original, as-purchased condition, no alterations of any kind, and repacked for shipment to ensure no damage. Insurance is the customer's responsibility and must be added to all return parcels. All returned bank checks will incur $3 + a $25 NSF fee being added to the purchase price of any items.
This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

**Restocking and Cancellation Fees apply to the total purchase price of the item and DO NOT include shipping/handling or sales tax, which are the responsibility of the buyer.
For most layaways, 1/3 down is required, and the balance in 2 equal payments over the following 2 months. Layaways for 60 days or longer are available. Sale and discounted items are not eligible for layaway. There is a $3 monthly layaway fee, beginning with the month the layaway is initiated. Customers are responsible for non-sufficient funds and returned check bank fees, and a $3 is added to the item if a check is returned. If a customer does not reply to a query within 2 days, the item will be returned to stock. All layaway payments are non-refundable, and non-transferable to another item. If a layaway is abandoned/not completed, all money paid is forfeited. It is the customer's responsibility to check their email for messages and ensure funds are available when a payment is due. Please inquire before you make a purchase for layaway, so we can discuss your payment schedule. You also have a payment option of Paypal Credit. You can choose the amount and length of payments to acquire an item, using it as a layaway option through Paypal.
