Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy
We ship primarily using the U.S. Postal Service, Priority or First Class. UPS shipping will be used if requested or under special circumstances. Most items have shipping charges listed with them. For extra large or awkwardly shaped items shipping charges will be determined at the time of purchase. Insurance is standard on all purchases over $100. All shipping charges for outside of the U.S. will be determined at the time of the purchase. We do not ship to APO addresses due to erratic delivery experiences.
No restocking fee!
This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

**Applies to the total purchase price of the item and DO NOT include shipping/handling or sales tax, which are the responsibility of the buyer.
Payment must be made within 3 business days of completing a purchase order, otherwise the purchase order will be cancelled. If you need more than 3 days, please send an email notifying us of your intentions. Five days are required for personal checks to clear. We will only accept PayPal payments for international sales.
LAYAWAY POLICY: Layaway is available. One-third of total purchase price is due within 5 days of completing the purchase order. Twenty eight days later a second third is due. The final one-third is due within twenty eight days of the second payment. Once a layaway plan is agreed upon, payments should be on time and for the exact amount. There will be no refunds or credits on uncompleted layaways. The first payment is non-refundable, in the event the item is returned. When a layaway purchase is agreed upon, we will place the item in our back room where only the purchaser can view it. To do so, you would need to bookmark the item on your computer. If this layaway policy does not fit your needs, send us an email with an option that will work better for you. We can negotiate from there!
Purchases made within the state of Maryland will require that a 6% sales tax be charged.
If you wish to return any item you purchase, we will gladly refund your purchase price minus any shipping charges. We do ask that you notify us via email within 3 days of receiving the item that you intend to return it. Once we receive the returned item in a timely fashion, then a refund will be issued. We stand behind everything that we sell!
