Our Service Pledge

We endeavour to provide the level of service that we would appreciate as customers.
We believe that a mutually satisfying transaction starts with timely & courteous communication.
Once remittance is received the purchased items are promptly despatched.
To be deemed a successful transaction it must be determined so by both parties - the satisfied customer & the shopowner.

Return Policy

Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy

The majority of our items have the Postage & Packing charges for Canada/U.S.A. quoted in the Item Description. Insurance is usually included but please check the individual item. (N.B.: Canada Post only insures against loss and not for damage)
Non-specified shipping charges will be predicated on the buyer's location and the weight of the package.

Items are sent via Canada Post - usually by Air Mail. An alternate carrier (if requested) is subject to availability and extra charges.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE WE SHIP DAILY (Monday-Friday). NO WAITING for allocated "shipping days" of only once or twice a week. Upon receipt of remittance items are despatched usually the NEXT DAY and often on the SAME DAY!

We are located in Canada so please allow sufficient time for the item(s) to arrive.


Restocking Fee

Mutual Satisfaction is our aim. Any item shipped in error or found to be inadvertently misrepresented may be returned for a full refund and a profuse apology.

Items returned for any other reason will have only the merchandise price refunded. Certain circumstances may warrant a 15% re-stocking fee.

NO UNAUTHORISED RETURNS will be accepted. Item must be returned in the condition it was received and at buyer's expense (unless return is due to an acknowledged error on our part).

Please contact us within THREE days of receipt of the item(s) to notify us of any dissatisfaction.

PLEASE E-MAIL WITH ANY QUERIES PRIOR TO BUYING. We will happily answer any questions or provide additional pictures.

Layaway Policy

This shop does not offer a layaway plan for purchases

Other Information

Electronic Payments to be paid within 48 hours of Purchase Order or acceptance of Make An Offer.

Mailed-In Payments to be received within TWO weeks of Purchase Order or acceptance of Make An Offer.

Non-payment within the specified period will result in the items being returned to our active inventory. One of the possible ramifications of non-payment is that a person's buying privileges with the hundreds of Ruby Lane shops may be adversely affected. We understand extenuating circumstances can occur so please always maintain communication in case other arrangements need to be made.

Any CASH payments remitted should be done so in a carefully concealed fashion. If you choose this manner it is with the prior knowledge that it is AT YOUR OWN RISK and is not strictly advisable.
