We guarantee the authenticity of all our items! Please keep in mind if we are traveling to do an Antique Show we may not respond to an order or question for 48 hours. We do respond to all emails! If you do not receive an answer from us PLEASE make sure you are signed in & click on "My Account". Your ISP may have a high security setting for spam, not letting our email reach you. Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy
All buyers-please be aware-you MUST save all original packing materials for a claim for ANY shipper. We pack extremely well & have never had an item arrived broken but we are sure King Kong is employed somewhere in the world.
We offer FREE shipping to the USA on regular priced items! We ship USPS: Priority/Insured/Signature Confirmation OR Priority/Registered/Insured/Signature Confirmation depending on item.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS pay for all shipping fees. ****We will need your shipping address to determine which shipping service is available for your country, it's cost & to verify that some form of claim coverage is available to equal your sale price. A LOT OF CHANGES HAVE OCCURRED IN SHIPPING COMPANIES THAT RESTRICT TYPES OF ITEMS AND/OR VALUE OF ITEM THAT IS ALLOWED TO BE SHIPPED. If there is a problem with your country we will email you.**** The US Post Office has again changed it's available services depending on your country. We don't recommend Fed Ex. With Fed Ex you get charged a fluctuating fee based on the declared value. But per a note at the bottom of the web-sites shipping quote, despite your value & fee paid, they only pay a maximum of 500.00 on an antique item claim. This was also verified thru a phone call to Fed Ex. So for this reason we recommend UPS. Per a phone call their declared value is the amount available for a claim.
***Please verify with your Customs for prohibited items before purchase. We do not take responsibility for confiscation of items. It is also the buyer's responsibility to pay for all of their vat/customs fees***
For items offered at a "Sale Price" or "Offer Option" please check that individual listing for information on who pays shipping.
We charge a 12% restocking fee ($500.00 maximum) for immediate (non layaway) purchases. We charge this fee in part due to the high costs of shipping as we offer FREE shipping. But we feel sure you will be so pleased with your item you will not be returning it. See our Layaway Policy for restocking fee regarding layaway purchases.
This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

**Restocking and Cancellation Fees apply to the total purchase price of the item and DO NOT include shipping/handling or sales tax, which are the responsibility of the buyer.
We offer layaway for individual or multiple item sales over $200.00. Mandatory minimum payment required is $100.00 per month. Example-a $200.00 layaway is for a 2 month duration, a $300.00 layaway is a 3 month maximum duration, and so forth with sales over $1200.00 having payments divided equally over 12 months. Your 1st. payment is due upon confirmation of your Purchase Order & each following payment is due on that date each month. Payments include shipping (free in USA - Buyer to pay for International) & tax if a CA. sale. You may pay by check, money order or Paypal (Paypal payments to be paid to: email@example.com). If your check is returned for Insufficient Funds you will be required to make all following payments thru Paypal & our Bank Return Fee will be added to your total. If you cancel your layaway you will be mailed a check for your refund minus a Restocking Fee of 15% based on purchase price & any returned check fees if applicable. Payments must be made on time or we reserve the right to cancel your layaway & refund your money minus the fees. If you experience a problem-CONTACT US-we're human! Your item will be shipped within 2 business days upon receipt of final payment or after a 10 business day clearing period for a final payment made by check. If we will be out of town doing a show at the time of your final payment we will notify you in advance to make alternate arrangements. It is up to individual shops if they will honor Ruby Lane's site wide return policy for layaways. We will honor the return policy minus a 15% restocking fee.
We must charge tax for California buyers unless you hold a CA. Resale Permit Number and can provide a completed CA. Resale Form.
If payment is not received by 14 days from our confirmation of your Purchase Order on an immediate sale (no layaway involved), buyer will be blocked & item will be re-listed. Please, contact us if there is a problem!
OTHER PAYMENT METHODS:
We also accept cashiers checks. Any payments by personal/business/cashier checks require 10 business days to clear before shipping. All forms of checks & money orders are to be made payable to: Richard W. Bell Antiques.
We regret that we will not do business with Nigerian buyers nor ship to Russia at this time.
