Return Policy

Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy

Buyer pays for actual shipping, handling and insurance. Most items are shipped by US Priority Mail but if you prefer another type of shipping, please contact me before making your purchase to be sure that it's possible to ship the item by other means. We aim to please and will try to work with our customers in every way possible to ensure their complete satisfaction. If you are returning an item from a smoker's home, please be aware that if there is any odor of smoke or cigarettes on the Returned Item when I receive it back , I will not refund your money.....item is considered damaged. Items must be returned in the exact same condition as the seller shipped to the buyer originally with no soiling from wear that did not appear in the original photos and description. If the item is returned in an "altered" state, no refund will be issued.
I've never had many issues with returns as descriptions of condition issues, if any, are usually very finite. I try to note even the smallest issues.....issues noted most of the time would not even be noticed by most people! My Vintage Clothes Line wants you to be happy with your purchase so you will be a return customer!

******PLEASE NOTE: The Return Policies of Ruby Lane and My Vintage Clothes LIne take precedent over all others.
Due to the maintenance, care, and upkeep required to preserve the condition of the items we offer vintage items must be thoroughly examined immediately upon receipt. Should there be any discrepancy in the condition, the buyer must let us know within 3 days of the Delivery Date of the item. Otherwise items will be considered to be as described and sale will be Final!

Restocking Fee

There is a 15% restocking fee on all returned items and buyer pays all return shipping costs and item must be insured for the original purchase price. *****Refunds do not include shipping fees.

Layaway Policy

This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

If you are interested in Layaway, please email and I will be happy to let you know about our Layaway policies on purchases of $200.00 and up.
If you commit to purchasing an item and the item's status is changed to "Sale Pending" and I do not receive your payment after sending an invoice and reminder, the item will be returned to our active inventory. Payment is due at time of purchase unless otherwise arranged with seller.
