We try and ship Monday thru Friday and we do guarantee the pictures and descriptions that we include with our information are as accurate as possible. I can easily take additional pictures for you or respond to any questions you may have.

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy
Since we have no control over your shipment once it has left our facility, we assume no liability for the container or items that are in transit to you. For your protection, we utilize a private Insurance Company's services because of the high cost of insuring orders thru the Post Office, especially outside of the United States. The 'Non-United States' buyer will be quite pleased with the changes as it now allows for the private Insurance on all forms of U.S. Postal shipping including the lowest shipping charge which is International First Class shipping. Most other dealers use U. S. Postal Insurance and that is only available on high cost Priority shipments. If the shipper loses or damages the container or contents, we cannot refund or adjust any order but a claim will be processed to recover your insured loss from the private Insurance Carrier. If you prefer heavy packing or the shipment requires boxing or priority mail, please let us know because our preferred method of packaging for domestic shipping will be using protected envelopes with gift boxes inside (normally protected with additional bubble-wrap) and shipping First Class large envelope mail plus $1.00 per $100.00 for insurance. On International shipping, we also use First Class large envelope international mail plus we add the private insurance at $2.00 per $100.00 USD. Some purchases that have a weight of one pound or above can take us into Priority shipping which has a much higher pricing structure than First Class so we might ship in multiple packages in First Class to keep the cost as low as possible for the buyer.
We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee up to 20% but have never charged any fee on the few returns that have come back. If a customer decides that they wish to return an item for no other good reason than they may have changed their mind, then we do not adjust back shipping or Insurance. Shipping and/or Insurance adjustments are only returned if the fault is ours.
This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

**Restocking and Cancellation Fees apply to the total purchase price of the item and DO NOT include shipping/handling or sales tax, which are the responsibility of the buyer.
There are times that we understand a desire to purchase a jewelry item but you are just not in a position, to buy it immediately. Please ask us about a lay-away plan that will work for your requirements as I have also used lay-away and wish to pass on that same service. For normal sales, PayPal is our preferred method of payment and they also accept credit cards and we do take checks or Money orders, even cash. . There are buyers that do not have Paypal and Western Union is one answer and there are possibly other internet services. We can also request payment thru Paypal, even though you are not a member, and you can pay it with that procedure without the fuss of opening an account with them. They gladly accept credit cards for the payment. We request payment within three days when PayPal is the method of transfer. We then send a follow-up request for payment and then cancel the order according to the date set by Ruby Lane. Mailed checks will be allowed ten days travel time before the item is returned to stock. Please ask us about our 1/3 down and 60 day normal lay-away plan! Under no circumstances can we accept requests for overseas bank transfers so please do not ask. We do sell internationally but we only take Bid pay or PayPal on international transactions for speedier shipments and hold all merchandise on all other payment methods, money orders, etc., until the transactions has been fully cleared. In some cases, that can take up to a month on international transactions because of international Money transfer issues, etc. We want, more than anything, to make purchasing from us as easy as possible so do not hesitate to ask if you have additional ideas that we can possibly structure into the purchase.
