Return Policy

Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy

I pay for domestic shipping for items over $50. There is a small fee for items under $50. You pay for insurance. For international shipping you pay insurance and a small shipping charge.

I do not refund shipping insurance on a returned item and I deduct
my shipping cost from the returned value. Returned item postage and
insurance is by the buyer.

International shipping charges are as follows:
You pay $5.00 for 1st class shipping and the actual insurance cost.
I pay the remainder of the first class shipping fee.
I do not refund shipping insurance on a returned item and I deduct
my shipping cost from the returned value.

Note: The only way to obtain tracking on a package after it has
left the US is to upgrade to full priority shipping which you pay for.
For 1st class shipping I can only track until the package leaves the

Customers outside the United States will be responsible for any customs fees, duties or taxes charged by their government on the full declared value when their package is delivered.

Restocking Fee

I do not refund insurance paid by you or shipping costs
paid by me. Normally I do not get many returns but I reserve the right to charge a %20 restocking fee if there is no valid reason ie damage, not as
described for returning the item. Items can not be returned that have been modified, polished in anyway.

Layaway Policy

This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

Other Information

If you are within CA and are a dealer buying for resale, you must provide us your active resale certificate # and acknowledgment of intent to resell or we will have to collect sales tax. No exceptions. Sales tax applies for all sales that go to a California address. This is a requirement of the California State Tax Board.

I would appreciate payment in 24 hours or purchase.

First Layaway payment must be made in 24 hours of purchase or the layaway will be cancelled. If you can not make a payment, please contact me so we can work things out. Payment must be made at least once a month. The buyer needs to give me the details on when the payments are to be made. If a layaway is cancelled, there are no refunds of money already paid. All layaway sales are final and money is not refundable but may be used to purchase other merchandise. I reserve the right to refuse a layaway.
